Öğe Effects of kinesio taping on sprint, balance and agility performance in 10-12 years old badminton players(Int Journal Lifescience & Pharma Research, 2021) Güven, Faruk; Aktaş, SametThe present study aims to investigate the effects of Kinesio taping applied to the foot area of 10-12 years old active badminton players on sprint, agility and balance performance. The experimental pattern model was used in this study. Sixteen male individuals who performed badminton training at least four days a week were included in this study. Since the study is a single group, it was applied by a double-blind method. 48 hours have waited between measurements. Measurements included the Proagility/agility test, 5-10-15m sprint test and balance test. Each parameter measurement was applied twice with the application of a Kinesio tape (KT) and a colored tape to create a placebo effect (PT). Paired samples t-test was used to investigate the differences between the measurement averages of the dependent groups. When the sprint values of 5m, 10m and 15m were analyzed after PT and KT applications of the participants, a significant difference was found between 5m PT and KT applications, between 10m PT and KT applications and between 15m PT and KT applications (p<0.05). When the average of agility and balance error scores after PT and KT applications were analyzed, agility after PT and KT applications was between, Eyes Open Balance Error Score (EOBES) after PT and KT applications was between, and Eyes Close Balance Error Score (ECBES) after PT and KT applications was between (p<0.05). Conclusion. Kinesio taping positively affected the agility, sprint and balance performances of the badminton players, but it is recommended to develop hypotheses and research on the subject to answer the question of the continuity of this development.Öğe The effect of the depth and width of pitch sizes in small-sided games on phyiological parameters and technical actions in football(2023) Arguz, Abdullah; Güven, Faruk; Erkmen, NurtekinThis study aimed to find out whether SSGs using wide and length field sizes have an effect on the physiological parameters and technical actions in football. Sixteen amateur male football players were recruited on a voluntary basis. The players were divided into teams of 4 according to the opinions of their coaches and the results of the Yo-Yo test. The study was applied in the form of 2 different SSGs: $SSG_{Width}$ (26 m length and 34 m wide) and $SSG_{Length}$ (34 m length and 26 m wide). The SSGs were performed in 3 sets for 6 minutes. A passive rest of 3 min was given between the sets. The heart rate (HR), blood lactate, and Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) were measured before and after the SSGs. The technical actions were determined by the notation analysis. No significant difference was found in the HR, the blood lactate, and the RPE between the groups in the post- test. After the SSGs, the HR, blood lactate and RPE increased significantly in both the $SSG_{Length}$ and $SSG_{Width}$. Although the number of interceptions in $SSG_{Width} $was statistically lower than in the $SSG_{Length}$, there was no statistically significant difference between the $SSG_{Length}$ and $SSG_{Width}$ in the goal kicks, accurate passing, inaccurate pass, dribbling, tackling, and ball possession time. Finally, for fast attacking after catching the ball (interception), coaches may prefer the $SSG_{Length}$ rather than the $SSG_{Width}$. It seems that more studies are needed on the effect of $SSG_{Length}$ and $SSG_{Width}$ in terms of other variables.Öğe Effect of covid-19 pandemic on recreational awareness and quality of life(2021) Demirel, Mehmet; Kaya, Alper; Budak, Davut; Bozoğlu, Mustafa Sabır; Er, YusufThe Covid-19 pandemic has significantly changed individuals’ quality of life. Authorities have taken various measures to protect general public health. These measures, which are taken to fight the virus effectively during the pandemic, have also limited many recreational activities that individuals can do in daily life. A total of 818 people participated in this study, in which the recreational awareness levels of university students and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on quality of life were discussed in terms of various variables. The SPSS package program was used in the analysis of the research data, and Kolmogorov Smirnov test and Shapiro tests were applied to determine the normality of the data distribution. Since the data did not have a normal distribution, that is, non-parametric distribution, besides descriptive statistical models, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis test, and correlation analysis were applied. A significant positive relationship was found between recreational awareness and the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on quality of life. As a result, a significant difference was found between the recreational awareness levels of university students and their demographic variables only in the variable of being infected with the Covid-19, and no significant difference was found in other variables. Significant differences were found between the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on quality of life and age, gender, level of welfare, and the Covid-19 infection.Öğe An evaluation of leisure involvement and social connectedness from the perspective of undergraduate students(2023) Demirel, Mehmet; Er, Yusuf; Çuhadar, Abdullah; Aksu, Hasan SuatRecent studies on social connectedness have emphasized that the sense of belonging is perceived as a basic need and might lead to psychological and physical health problems if not satisfied. It is further stressed that leisure activities might increase the sense of belonging, foster social wellbeing, and create an infrastructure for healthy generations. In this sense, this study examined the leisure involvement and social connectedness levels of undergraduate students in relation to gender, age, grade, perceived social wellbeing, difficulty with leisure assessment, and adequacy of weekly leisure. The population of the study comprises students of Necmettin Erbakan University and Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, while the sample group consists of 263 participants. T-test and ANOVA were conducted in data analysis. According to the results of the research, while there was a significant relationship between social addiction and leisure involvement in perceived social welfare and weekly leisure time variables, no significant relationship was found between gender variable and social addiction and leisure involvement. It was concluded that leisure involvement has an effective role on social commitment and evaluating leisure activities with typical leisure activities can positively affect social connectedness.Öğe Effects of kinesio taping on sprint, balance and agility performance in 10-12 years old badminton players(International Journal Of Life Science And Pharma Research, 2021) Güven, Faruk; Aktaş, SametThe present study aims to investigate the effects of Kinesio taping applied to the foot area of 10-12 years old active badminton players on sprint, agility and balance performance.
