| dc.description.abstract | Cumhuriyet Antik Çağ’dan itibaren siyasi yaşamın önemli unsurlarından biri hâline gelmiştir. Cumhuriyetin ortaya çıkması ve gelişmesinde baskıcı rejimlere karşı verdiği mücadele önemlidir. Bununla birlikte cumhuriyet Antik Çağ’dan günümüze değin önemli merhalelerden geçmiş ve gelişmiştir. Temel özelliklerinin başında ortak değerleri önemseyen yurttaşlık düşüncesi ile toplum yaşamı için bireyi feda etmemek gelmektedir. Cumhuriyet düşüncesinin Yeni Çağ’da gelişen kuvvetler ayrılığı anlayışı ile önemli bir ivme kazandığı anlaşılmaktadır. Diğer taraftan liberal demokrasiler ile karşı karşıya geldiği hususlar söz konusudur. Çünkü cumhuriyet bireyi yalnızca ekonomik değer olarak gören anlayış ile serbest piyasa ekonomisinin yol açtığı açmazları önlemeye çalışmaktadır. Aynı zamanda aşırı bireyci ve sorumsuz özgürlükçü tutumları benimsemez. Bunların yerine anayasa ile halk iradesini harmanlamaya çalışan bir yapıya sahiptir. Temel yurttaşlık değerleri ile zenginin sürekli zengin, fakirin de fakir olduğu bir anlayışa karşı sosyal adaleti sağlamaya çalışmaktadır. Aynı zamanda cumhuriyet sorumsuz özgürlüğün karşısına pozitif özgürlüğü yerleştirmektedir. Dolayısıyla çağımızda yaşanan temel sorunların önüne geçilmesi bakımından cumhuriyet değerlerinin yeniden güçlendirilmesi önem arz etmektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The republic has been one of the most important elements of political life since ancient times. The struggle against oppressive regimes is important for the emergence and development of the republic. However, the republic has gone through important phases and evolved from antiquity until today. One of its main characteristics is the idea of citizenship, which cherishes common values and does not sacrifice the individual for the life of society. It is assumed that the idea of the republic received an important impetus with the understanding of the separation of powers that has developed in modern times. On the other hand, there are problems with which liberal democracies are confronted. This is because the republic attempts to prevent the dilemmas caused by the free market economy by viewing the individual only as an economic value. At the same time, it does not adopt extremely individualistic and irresponsible libertarian attitudes. Instead, it has a structure that attempts to combine the constitution with the will of the people. With its basic civic values, it endeavours to achieve social justice as opposed to an understanding in which the rich are always rich and the poor are always poor. At the same time, the republic pits positive freedom against irresponsible freedom. It is therefore important to strengthen the values of the republic in order to prevent the fundamental problems of our time. | |
