Özet

The objective of this study is to determine the moderator role of generation gap in the effect of psychological empowerment perception on job satisfaction. The population (N: 200) and sample (n=136) of the study consists of health professionals working in the Karaman Provincial Health Directorate, Türkiye. In the research, data were collected with a questionnaire technique and the hypotheses were tested through the SPSS Macro Process program. The significance of the regulatory role (statistically) was calculated by the bootstrap test. As a result of the analyzes made, it was found that the moderator effect of psychological empowerment perception on job satisfaction differed between the X and Y generations. While the effect of the psychological empowerment perceptions of the X Generation employees on job satisfaction did not show a statistically significant difference, this effect was found to be statistically significant in the Y Generation employees. It has been found that generations have a moderator effect on the effect of psychological empowerment perceptions of health workers on job satisfaction (X and Y). © 2023 Authors.
