| dc.description.abstract | Osmanlı tarih yazıcılığının en önemli kaynaklarını arşiv belgeleri oluşturmaktadır. Osmanlı arşivinin önemli defter serilerinden biri olan nâme-i hümâyûnlar, Osmanlı padişahları tarafından, İslam ve Hıristiyan ecnebi bir hükümdara veya Osmanlı Devleti'ne tabi imtiyazlı bölgelerdeki hükümdarlara gönderilen mektupları ifade etmek için kullanılmaktadır. Nâme-i hümâyûnlarda Osmanlı Devleti'nin diğer dış devletlerle olan münasebetleri ve onlara karşı izlediği politikalarla ilgili bilgiler bulunmaktadır. Bu açıdan birinci elden kaynak niteliğindeki bilgilerin tespiti için bu tür belgelerin incelenmesi ve değerlendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Tezde 1703-1721 yıllarını kapsayan 6 Numaralı Nâme-i Hümâyûn Defteri içerisinde yer alan Osmanlı Devleti'nin Lehistan, İngiltere, Prusya, İsveç, ve Ceneviz devletleri ile yaptıkları yazışmaların diplomatik değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti XVIII. yüzyıla kadar ad hoc denilen tek taraflı diplomasi anlayışını uygulamıştır. Ancak XVIII. yüzyıla doğru Osmanlı Devleti'nin kaybettiği savaşlar uluslararası alanda eşitlik getirmiştir. Bu durum diplomasiye yansımış ve diplomatik dil yumuşamaya başlamış karşı tarafında düşüncelerinin dikkate alındığı yeni bir döneme girilmiştir. Bu değişmeler neticesinde Osmanlı Devleti'nin bazı devletlerle dostane ilişkiler kurduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmamızda ele aldığımız devletler dostane ilişkilerin kurulduğu devletlerden oluşmaktadır. Mektupların konuları genel olarak elçi atamaları, cülus haberleri, Poltava savaşı sonrası İsveç kralı XII. Karl'ın Osmanlı'ya sığınması meselesi, ve karşılıklı gönderilen hediyelerden oluşmaktadır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The archive documents constitute the most important sources of Ottoman historiography. Name-iHümayuns, one of the important notebook series of the Ottoman archives, is used by the Ottoman sultans to express the letters sent to the independent rulers or semi-independent rulers linked to the Ottoman State. In the Name-iHümâyûns, there are information about the relations of the Ottoman Empire with other foreign states and the policies it followed against them. In this respect, it is necessary to examine and evaluate such documents in order to determine the first-hand source information. This thesis carried out the diplomatic evaluation of the Ottoman Empire's correspondence with Poland, England, Prussia, Sweden, and Genoa states written in the Nâme-iHümâyûn Notebook No. 6 covering the years 1703-1721. Until the 18th century, the Ottoman Empire implemented the one-sided diplomacy approach called ad hoc. However, the wars that the Ottoman Empire lost towards the 18th century brought equality in the international arena. This situation was reflected in diplomacy and the diplomatic language started to soften, and a new period was entered in which the opinions of the other side were taken into account. As a result of these changes, it was seen that the Ottoman Empire established friendly relations with some states. The states that we deal with in our study consist of states with which friendly relations are established. The subjects of the letters generally consist of ambassador assignments, enthronement news, the issue of Swedish king XIIKarl's asylum in the Ottoman Empire after the Poltava war and the gifts sent to each other. | en_US |
