| dc.description.abstract | Göstergelerin görünen anlamları dışındaki derin yapıdaki anlamlarını inceleyen bilim dalına göstergebilim denilmektedir. Göstergebilimsel analiz yapılırken pek çok değişken bir arada değerlendirilir ve çözümlemede doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak sunulan mesajların açığa çıkarılma, anlamlandırılma amacı vardır. Roland Barthes’in geliştirdiği kurama göre kavrama anlayıp anlamlandırma sürecinden geçerek “Gösterge”, “Gösteren”, “Gösterilen” dizgesine dönüşür. Bu makalenin amacı, Roland Barthes’ın göstergebilimsel yöntemiyle Parag Khanna tarafından yazılan “Yeni Dünya Düzeni: Yeni Yükselen Güçler 21. Yüzyılda Dünyayı Nasıl Belirliyor?” adlı kitap kapağı tasarımında tespit edilen göstergelerin analiz edilmesiyle anlatılmak istenen esas göstergelerin açıklanması amaçlanmıştır. Makalede Parag Khanna’nın tasarladığı kitabın analiz edilmesi sürecinde nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan göstergebilimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Kitabın kapağı Roland Barthes’in çözümleme yönteminde kullandığı gösterge, gösteren ve gösterilen şeklinde analiz edilmiştir. Bu kapak görselinde yer alan göstergelerin; nasıl anlam kazandığı, kaç düzlemden oluştuğu, şifrelenmiş görüntüsel mesajların neler içerdiği, göstergelerin birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri ve görselde yer alan çağrışımsal anlamların neler içerdiği ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. İncelenen metinde, bir çerçeve içerisinde verilen göstergelerin aslında birbirinden bağımsız olmadığını, aksine bu göstergelerin birbiriyle sıkı ilişki içerisinde olduğunu ve birbirlerini tamamlayacak şekilde bir araya getirilerek bir metin oluşturulduğunu göstermektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The branch of science that examines the deep meanings of signs other than their apparent meanings is called semiotics. While performing semiotic analysis, many variables are evaluated together and there is a purpose of revealing and making sense of the messages presented directly or indirectly in the analysis. According to the theory developed by Roland Barthes, the concept transforms into the "Sign", "Signifier", "Signified" system by going through the process of understanding and interpreting. The purpose of this article is “The New World Order: How New Emerging Powers Determine the World in the 21st Century?” written by Parag Khanna with the semiotic method of Roland Barthes. It is aimed to explain the main indicators that are intended to be explained by analyzing the indicators determined in the book cover design. In the article, the semiotic analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the analysis of the book designed by Parag Khanna. The cover of the book is analyzed as the sign, the signifier and the signified, which Roland Barthes uses in his analysis method. The indicators in this cover image; It has been tried to reveal how it makes sense, how many planes it consists of, what the encrypted visual messages contain, the relations of the signs with each other and what the associative meanings in the image contain. In the examined text, it shows that the indicators given in a frame are not actually independent from each other, on the contrary, these indicators are closely related to each other and a text is formed by combining them in a way that complements each other. | en_US |
