Turizm sektörü gelir gider dengesinde, gider kaleminin yükünü oldukça hafifletmektedir. Bu çalışmada 2000-2018 yılları için 36 OECD ülkesinde uluslararası turizm harcamalarının, dış ticaret hacmine etkisi panel veri analizi ile incelenmektedir. Analiz türü olarak Genelleştirilmiş En Küçük Kareler (GEKK) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre uluslararası turizm harcamaları arttıkça, dış ticaret hacmi genişlemektedir.Revenues from tourism can be seen as one of the financing items of high growth rates and current account deficit that are needed especially for developing countries. The tourism sector relieves the burden of the expense item in the balance of income and expenses. In this study, the effect of international tourism expenditures on foreign trade volume in 36 OECD countries for the years 2000-2018 is analyzed with panel data analysis. Generalized Least Squares (GLS) method was used as the analysis type.
