    Analysis of the creativity level of the gifted students

    The aim of this study is; to analyse the creativity level of gifted students. The research group is consisted of 73 male and 48 female, total 121 students of 5th and 6th grade, studying at the Ankara Science and Arts Centre. Firstly the available data about the aim of examination is given systematicly by researching the relavent literature; by this way a theoric frame is created about the subject. Secondly, Adaptation-Innovation Inventory (KAI), scale of creativity, developed by Kreton is applied on the students, joined to the investigations. In the analysis and interpretation of data, t-test; One Way Anova; and to measure the difference between the groups, Tukey test is used and significance of P<0,05 is taken. SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) package progam is used to evaluate and find the rated values. As a result of the study no important difference is found betweeen the creativity levels of the gifted studendts in terms of class variable, however an important difference is found in terms of the education level of parents variable. Being gifted is; one's ability of creating special things differntly from his peers, from the point of creativity, motivation and mental quality and combination of all these qualities. Gifted children that have high talent, creativity and potantial of responsibility of duty is thought to be necessary in many areas for the performance of true gifted. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd.     Analysis of the effect of educational games on primary school students' audacity level

    Game; reflects the audacity level and inner world of child more realisticly. Thus it becomes possible to observe the real personality of child with its mistakes, weaknesses, inventions, abilities and tendencies. Our intention in this research is to investigate the effect of educational games on the audacity level of students studying at the primary schools. Research group is consisted of 50 male, 42 female total 92 students studying at 6 th, 7 th and 8 th grades of Piri Reis Primary School. Firstly the existing data about the aim of examination is given systematicly by researching the relavent literature. Thus a theoric frame is created about the subject. Secondly the children are made to play 2 educatinal games at the beginning and the end of the gym classes for 8 weeks in order to reach the aim of research. The qualities of the games are power, speed and flexibility. Rathus Audacity Inventory, developed by Rathus and translated to Turkish by Voltan (1998), is used at the beginning and end of the period covering 8 weeks time. In the analysis and interpetation and of data; pre-test, results of last test, test of Wilcoxon, t test, test of Anova; and to measure the difference between the groups Tukey test is used and significance P<0,05 is taken. SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) package program is used to evaluate and find the rated values and (Cronbach Alpha) 0.92 is found. As a result it is seen that educational games are effective on the development of audacity level of children studying at primary schools, in addition it is seen that there is an increase on the audacity level of 6 th and 8 th grade students compared to 7 th grade; boys' compared to girls' after educational games.     Examined of creativity level of primary school students who make sports and do not make sports

    The aim of this study is to examine creativity level of primary school students who make sports and do not make sports. Study group is composed of 73 boys and 77 girls who make sports and 78 boys and 72 girls who do not make sports, totaly 300 who are attending to 6(th), 7(th) and 8(th) grade in primary schools located in the center of Karaman province. First of all, available information's related to aim of study have been given systematically by scanning literature. In this way a teorical frame about the subject was formed. Secondly, "How Creative Are You?" creativity scale developed by Raudsepp (1977) and translated into Turkish by Coban (1999) was used in order to reach the aim of study. In data examine and interpretation; t test, One Way Anova tests were used and to identify differences between groups Tukey test was used and perception was based on P<0.05. Statistical package for social sciences packet program (SPSS) was used to find calculated data's and evaluate criteria's. As a result of this study, the creativity level of the students who make sports was any more than students who don't make sports. According to sex variant, boy and girl students making sports have high creativity level while boy and girl students not making sports have low creativity levels. According to class variant, It was emerged that the level of creativity was high in the students of 6(th), 7(th) and 8(th) grade and who make sports while it was low in the 6(th), 7(th) and 8(th) grade students who don't make sports. According to variant education levels of their mother and father, it was emerged from conclusion that creativeness levels of students making sport were higher than students' not making sports.     Analysis of empathic artifice level of teacher candidates who study in the school of physical education and sport

    The aim of this study is to determine empathic artifice level of teacher candidates who study in the School of Physical Education and Sport. Study group is composed of 125 boys and 72 girls totaly 197 students who are attending to 1(st), 2(nd), 3(rd) and 4(th) class of Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University and Selcuk University School of Physical Education and Sport. First of all, available information's related to aim of study have been given systematically by scanning literature. In this way a teorical frame about the subject was formed. Secondly to reach the aim of the study; empathic artifice scale developed by Dokmen (1990) was applied to students who joined the research. In data examine and interpretation; t test, One Way Anova tests were used and to identify differences between groups Tukey test was used and perception was based on P<0,05. Statistical package for social sciences packet program (SPSS) was used to find calculated data's and evaluate criteria's. Reliability coefficient of the scale was found as 0.86. As a result of this study it was found that while there was a meaningful difference between teacher candidates who are attending to School of Physical Education and Sport, empathic artifice level and their sex, class and fathers' education level; there wasn't a meaningful difference between their emphatic artifice and mothers' education level.     Surveying the relationships between the goal orientations of the students sporting as team sport and individualistically and the level of their basic psychologic needs at the school of physical education and sports

    The aim of this study is surveying the relationships between the goal orientations of the students sporting as team sport and individualistically and the level of their basic psychologic needs at the school of physical education and sports. 126 male and 83 femal in total 209 students sporting actively at the schools of Physical Education and Sports of Gazi University, Selcuk University, Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University and Ataturk University attended the survey (average of age is 22.3971 +/- 1.75 years). Firstly, the present data concerning the aim of the study has been given systematically by reviewing the literature. Thus, a theoretical framework has been formed. Secondly, "Scale of Task and Ego Orientation of Sports" developed by Duda (1989) and adapted to Turkish athletes by Toros (2001) and Basic Psychological Needs Scale Decive Ryan (2000) adapted to Turkish by Kesici, Ure et al. (2003) have been applied to the students to achieve the objectives of the research. In the analysis and commenting the data; by using the pearson product moment correlation statistical technique, P<0,05 significance has been taken. SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) has been used in the evaluation of the data and finding the estimated values. In the result of this research, a significance relationship was found between the task and ego orientations and self determination and competence and level of relationships of the students sporting as team sport. According to these results, the success level of the students sporting as team sport about their competence and self determination decides that they contribute positively the evaluations regarding how good the individual's daytime will be. The findings in this study were parallel with the current study. There has been no significant relationship between the self determination and competence levels of the students sporting as individualistically, a significant relationship has been found between the relationship levels. These results reveal that ego-oriented sportsmen focus on external criteria to indicate achievement and believe the importance of opportunities and social comparisons as the achievement criteria and the conclusion that these behaviours are more important for ego-oriented sportsmen than perceived abilities, intense work and effort.

    Primary school students' level of participation in sport in terms of different variables and the relationship between the level of participation and communication skills

    In this research, the relationships between the level of participation of the primary school students in sports activities and their communication skills in terms of different types of variables are studied. This study obtains some findings from the questionnaire preferred as the research method. The first part of the questionnaire improved by the researchers consists of 8 items and focus on the personal information of the students who participate in the survey. The second part of the questionnaire prepared in the study includes 7 items and it determines the level of participation in sports activities. The last part of the questionnaire of the study contains 45 questions developed by Ersanli and Balci (1996) in 'Communication Skills Inventory' to assess the students' communication skills. As a result of the research, striking findings are reached so that students' level of participation in sports activities and their communication skills significantly change according to their genders, ages, their parent's education, level of income and their social status.

    Examination of socialization levels of university students engaging in individual and team sports

    The objective of this study is to examine socialization levels of university students engaging in individual and team sports. 587 university students in total including 248 girls and 339 boys receiving education in various faculties and graduate schools of Dumlupinar University, Inonu University, Gazi University and 19 Mayis University constitute the research group. To achieve study objective, the socialization scale developed by Sahan (2007) was used. Significance was extracted P<0.05 by employing The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and two-way ANOVA test in solution and interpretation of data. SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) package software was employed in evaluation of data and finding the calculated values. As a result of this study, students, who are engaged in team sports, have higher socialization levels than students performing in individual sports. Besides, it was found that department and branch variable has an influence on socialization levels of students.

For some people the future for physical education is a future directed towards young people's future health and well-being and, more specifically, their current and future participation in physical activity and sport. Today, good physical education, Health Education is the top priority, and safety education of students is a top priority. Every beginning teacher in class, take advantage of the regular class safety education for students. Dress must be sportswear, sports shoes, which cannot bring with accessories, so as not to cause injury in sports, the teaching process to comply with classroom discipline, attention to the management of sports equipment, not chasing, in practice prior to observe the surrounding environment, safety first. Second, the warming part of the activities of the use and operation of multimedia design reflects the innovative with the development of technology, tape recorders, Computer speakers, wireless microphones and other Technology has greatly enhanced the use of means of classroom efficiency and enhance the classroom results.     The objective of this study is to examine recreation levels of university students with regard to various variables. 503 university students in total including 248 girls and 255 boys receiving education in various faculties and graduate schools of Karamanoglu Mehmet Bey University, Inonu University, Gazi University and 19 Mayis University constitute the research group. The questionnaire developed by researcher was employed to achieve study objective. Significance was extracted P<0.05 by employing Chi-Square test (2X2) in solution and interpretation of data. SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) package software was used in assessment of data and finding the calculated values. It was inferred as a result of this study that male students in comparison with female students and students receiving education in the faculty of education in comparison with the ones, who receive education in other departments, enjoy participating in social activities, improve their personal skill and capabilities by participating in social activities, participate in sportive activities, consider attending socio-cultural activities important and are more active in terms of cultural activity. These outcomes demonstrate that individuals freely take part in recreative activities.
