dc.description.abstractÖzellikle Sanayi Devriminden sonra, dünya ekonomilerinde ortaya çıkan hızlı değişimle birlikte, üretim ve tüketim kalıpları inanılmaz bir şekilde değişmiş, modern dünya ekonomisi kapitalist bir tüketim toplumuna dönüşmüştür. Homoeconomicusun gittikçe artan isteklerinin karşılanması için daha fazla üretime ihtiyaç duyulmuş, bu durum ise gelecek nesiller ve dünyamızın geleceği düşünülmeden kaynakların aşırı kullanımı sorununu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Dünyamızın ömrünün kısaldığı, dolayısıyla gelecek nesillere yaşanılabilir bir dünya kalmayacağını savunan birtakım çevreler bu duruma dikkat çekerek, sürdürülebilir ekonomik kalkınmanın önemi ve nasıl sağlanacağı yönünde çalışmalar ortaya koymuşlardır. Bu doğrultuda çeşitli “yeşil ekonomi” politikaları ortaya atılmış, çevreye duyarlı sürdürülebilir ekonomik politikalar desteklenmiştir. Bu çalışmada doğal kaynakları ve yerel değerleri koruyarak ekonomik kalkınmayı sağlamaya çalışan, çevreci bir kalkınmayı hedefleyen Cittáslow “Yavaş (Sakin) Şehir” konseptinin sürdürülebilir kalkınmaya katkısının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda, Yavaş Şehir Üyelik Kriterleri ile sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın üç boyutu (ekonomik, sosyal ve çevresel) içinde yer alan unsurlar ve BM Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Göstergeleri karşılaştırılarak aralarındaki uyum incelenmiştir. Yapılan karşılaştırmalı analiz sonucunda, Yavaş Şehir Üyelik Kriterlerinin hem sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın üç boyutu içinde yer alan unsurlar ile hem de BM Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Göstergeleri arasında güçlü bir uyum olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Dolayısıyla Yavaş Şehir olmayı hedefleyen kentlerin aynı zamanda sürdürülebilir kalkınma konusunda da olumlu sonuçlar elde edilebileceği söylenebilir.en_US
dc.description.abstractEspecially after the Industrial Revolution, with the rapid change in the world economies, the patterns of production and consumption have changed dramatically and the modern world economy has turned into a capitalist consumer society. More production was needed to meet the ever-increasing demands of Homoeconomicus, and this situation revealed that the problem of overuse of resources without considering the future generations and the future of our world. Many scientists drawing attention that there the shorter life span of our world and therefore there will be no livable world for future generations and, they put forward studies on the importance of sustainable economic development and how to achieve it. In this direction, various “green economy” policies were put forward, eco-friendly economic policies for sustainable development is supported. The aim of this study is to investigate that the contribution to sustainable development of Cittáslow concept which aims to achieve an eco-friendly economic development by protecting natural resources and local values. In this context, they were examined by comparing the harmony between which the criteria of the Slow City Membership Criteria with the elements within the three-dimension ns of sustainable development and the UN Sustainable Development Indicators. As a result of the comparative analysis, it was concluded that the criteria of the Slow City Membership Criteria are a strong fit between both the elements included in the three dimensions of sustainable development and the UN Sustainable Development Indi cators. Therefore, it can be said that the cities aiming to be Slow City can also achieve positive results in terms of sustainable development.en_US
