dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı; satranç oynayan ve oynamayan ilköğretim öğrencilerinin problem çözme becerilerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma grubunu; Erzurum il merkezinde Maksut Efendi ilköğretim okulunun 6.7.8. Sınıflarında öğrenim gören 47 erkek 43 kız toplam 90 ilköğretim öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. İlk olarak araştırmanın amacına ilişkin mevcut bilgiler, literatürün taranmasıyla sistematik bir şekilde verilmiştir. Böylece konu hakkında teorik bir çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. İkinci olarak araştırmanın amacına ulaşmak için Problem Çözme Envanteri kullanılarak ilköğretim öğrencilerine uygulanmıştır.Verilerin çözüm ve yorumlanmasında; t testi kullanılarak anlamlılık P<0,05 alınmıştır.Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde ve hesaplanmış değerlerin bulunmasında 10.0 SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) paket programı kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda; satranç oynamayan öğrencilerin oynayanlara göre aceleci yaklaşım düzeyleri ve kaçıngan yaklaşım düzeyleri, satranç oynayan öğrencilerin oynamayanlara göre planlı yaklaşım düzeyleri yüksek çıkmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to investigate the problem solvıng skılls of prımary scholl students that are playing chess or not.The group of this search is composed of totally 90 Primary School students (47 male and 43 female) that is studying at 6 th.7th. and 8th. grade in Maksut Efendi Primary school in Erzurum province.Firstly, the current information about the purpose of this study is learned systematically by searching the details of the literature. In this way, a theorical limitation about the topic has beenreached. Secondly. In order to reach the research purpose, problem Solving Inventory executed the primary school student. In determining and comment the data, t test was used and the meaningfulness is set at P&lt;0,05. 10.0 SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) packet programme was used for analizing the data and finding the calculated worth.As the result of this study, it has been found out that the students who are able to play chess their planned approach level is higher than the students who cannot play it at all,the students who aren&amp;#8217;t also able to play chess whose impetuous approach level and their avoiding approach level is higher than the students who are able to play chess.en_US
