dc.description.abstractSon Osmanlı Padişahı VI. Mehmed’in Türkiye’yi terk etmesi hadisesi çok tartışılan bir konudur. Yazar Gotthard Jäschke bu konuyu İngiliz kaynaklarına dayanarak incelemiştir. Makalede ülkenin Milli Mücadeleye gidiş süreci içerisinde Mustafa Kemal ile Vahideddin arasındaki ilişkiye yer verilmiştir. Sultan VI. Mehmed bu süreçte İngilizlerin koruması altına girerek onların desteğini kazanmaya çalışmıştır. Nitekim 1 Kasım 1922’de Saltanat kaldırılınca Padişah ülkeyi terk etmek zorunda kalmıştır. Yazar tüm bu süreci ele alarak olayları İngilizlerin bakış açısından yansıtmaya çalışmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIt is a discussive issue that the abandon of last Ottoman Sultan VI. Mehmed’s. Writer Gotthard Jäschke has researched this issue on the basis of British sources. In the paper, the relationship between Mustafa Kemal and Vahideddin during the Turkish National Struggle for Independence is included. VI. Mehmed has aimed to gain British’s support by going under the guardence of them. Nevertheless when the Sultanate was abolished in November 1 1922 the Sultan had to leave the country. The writer aims to reflect the matters from the British’s perspective via considering this whole process.en_US
