| dc.description.abstract | Sosyal bilgiler dersinde güncel olayların öğretiminde çeşitli yollar bulunmaktadır. Bu yollardan en çok tercih edileni güncel olayların sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında öğrenme alanına eklenmiş olarak öğretilmesidir. Bu araştırmada amaç, ortaokul sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında güncel olayların kullanımının incelenmesidir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden, doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılan bu çalışmada doküman olarak ortaokul ders kitapları seçilmiştir. Araştırmada 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında kullanılmış beşinci, altıncı ve yedinci sınıf Sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarından oluşan bir seçki, veri kaynağı olarak kullanılmıştır. Veri kaynağı olarak bu seçki hali hazırda MEB tarafından ders kitabı olarak kabul görüp kullanıldığından tercih edilmiştir. Ders kitaplarındaki güncel olaylar belirlenerek sınıflara, öğrenme alanlarına ve konulara göre analiz amaçlı tablolar halinde belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, güncel olayların sınıf, öğrenme alanı ve konu dağılımının eşit olmadığını göstermiştir. Sınıf seviyesinin yükseldikçe güncel olay kullanımının arttığı da tespit edilmiştir. Bazı öğrenme alanlarında ise güncel olay kullanımına yer verilmemiştir. İncelenen ders kitaplarında güncel olay kaynağı olarak en çok genel ağ haberi, en az da dergi haberinin kullanıldığı görülmüştür. Ders kitaplarındaki bazı güncel haberlerin kitabın kullanılacağı süreç boyunca güncelliklerini yitirmesi söz konusu olabileceğinden, ders kitaplarında güncel olay kullanılacaksa bunların güncel olabilmesi için mevzuat değişikliğine gidilmesi ve ders kitapları güncellenerek daha sık aralıklarla basılmalı şeklinde önerilerde bulunulmuştur. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | There are various ways in the teaching of current events in the Social Studies course. The most preferred of these ways is to teach current events in the Social Studies textbook attached to the learning strands. The aim of this study is to examine the use of current events in secondary school Social Studies textbooks. Among the qualitative research methods, the document analysis method was used, and the secondary school textbooks were chosen as the document. A selection of fifth, sixth and seventh grade Social Studies textbooks used in the 2019-2020 academic year was used as a data source in the study. As the data source, this selection was chosen as it is already accepted and used as a textbook by the Ministry of National Education. The current events in the textbooks were determined in tables for analysis purposes, according to classes, learning strands and subjects. The findings have shown that the class, learning area and subject distribution of current events are not equal. It was also found that as the grade level increases, the use of current events increases. In some learning areas, the use of current events is not included. It has been detected that in the textbooks analyzed, the most common network news and least the magazine news were used as the source of current events. Since some current news in the textbooks may be out of date during the course of the book, suggestions have been made that if current events are to be used in the textbooks, the legislation should be amended to keep them up-to-date, and the textbooks should be updated and published more frequently | en_US |
