Digital leadership or leadership in the digital age?

Technological developments advancing at a dizzying pace have not been late to include the field of management. Modern management processes that develop according to the new rules of the business world lead to the emergence of new concepts every day. "Digital leadership," which has started to be frequently mentioned in the literature, is one of these new concepts. It is difficult to say that there is a generally accepted definition of this concept, which is sometimes referred to as e-leadership, leadership in the digital age, or leadership 4.0. Some researchers argue that the concepts have the same meaning, some suggest that new definitions have been proposed, and some argue that the concepts are different from each other. Within the scope of the study, it is planned to make a general evaluation of the concept of digital leadership in the light of the information obtained from the literature in order to contribute to the elimination of these differences of opinion. As a result, it was found that the concepts of digital leadership and leadership in the digital age are related but different concepts, and the theoretical foundations of the concept of digital leadership have not yet been sufficiently formed. © 2023 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
